Parklane Resort and SPA a Luxury Collection by Marriott

The Parklane Resort and SPA is located on the outskirts of Limassol and the name really says it all. Situated in a wonderful park with a very spacious layout, the resort offers enough space to avoid constantly encountering crowds of tourists.
The entrance is via a security gate system with a gatekeeper who asks for your name and the reason for your visit and opens the gate after asking whether you really have a reservation. Very polite and above all friendly, but this is not something you are really used to in Europe, but in Cyprus it is common in almost every 5 star hotel, more or less.
The drive to the hotel through the park is really beautiful, it's not particularly far and you reach the large parking lot with a round fountain. There is a lot of activity in front of the entrance, people are arriving or departing, suppliers park their trucks in the parking lot, the hotel's own buggies are in use, in short, there is a lot of activity in front of the entrance, which I personally found a little irritating, as I didn't even see the entrance at first, it was so blocked.
After entering the lobby, however, the picture was completely different, a pleasant atmosphere, the check-in was very polite and super friendly. Then we were given a surprise, we had actually
booked a “normal” Sea View room and were upgraded to a Garden Villa with private pool. There are certainly at least 5 other categories between these room categories, so this was not one, but at least 5 upgrades in one. These two categories can hardly be compared in terms of price either, as a villa costs almost €2,000 per night in high season.
However, we were super happy about this amazing upgrade and were immediately taken to the villa with a buggy. If you are a member of Marriott, you can open your room in some hotels with your cell phone and no longer need a room card. This is also the case in the villa, which I really like, because then you don't always have to have so much equipment with you when you leave the room and just want to go to the gym or the pool.
The villa was not only large, but also equipped with the latest technology. Everything is electric and remote-controlled. The exterior blinds can be operated at the touch of a button, there are several air conditioning units in the villa that can be switched on or off independently of each other, operating tablets on the sofa in the living
room and also on the bedside table in the bedroom, you can choose between several lighting scenarios to make the ambience as cozy as possible, there is a video intercom system so that you can always see who is at the door when the doorbell rings, an alarm system and of course high-speed Internet.
The rest of the villa is just as pleasant as the electrical comfort. On the lower floor there is a toilet with a very large shower, a comfortable living room with a large TV, a desk and a dining area with a minibar and glasses. On the upper floor there is a large bathroom with a huge bathtub, a toilet with bidet, another shower and double washbasins. There is an extra room for clothes with a large wardrobe, enough space to store your suitcases, a dressing table and a very large bedroom.
The villa is designed for 2-3 people, as there is only one bedroom, but there should be enough space for a family of 4 without any problems.
Then of course there is the terrace with pool and here it is not a small “plunge pool”, but a really large pool with tiled steps and handrail for easy entry and exit.
The pool also has comfortable loungers and an outdoor shower as well as chairs and a table on the terrace.
All in all, we could find absolutely no fault with the villa's furnishings, everything is of high quality, very comfortable and also very clean. Of course, there are signs of wear here and there, but it is still in almost mint condition.
Of course, we were absolutely thrilled with the villa and pool, so we also wanted to explore the rest of the complex.
The complex is very spacious and generously laid out and offers holidaymakers and business travelers so many possibilities. For families there is a wonderful kids club with its own water area and constantly changing activities for children. Simply great.
For those seeking peace and quiet, we can recommend the SPA area, which is somewhat separate from the rest of the pool landscapes and offers a completely separate area with various pools and relaxation zones.
The fitness room also meets all requirements, it is modernly equipped and offers strength and cardio equipment. At the bar by the indoor pool, you can even have protein shakes made to optimize muscle building.
The Parklane really does offer a wide range of luxury and comfort facilities and the breakfast buffet is no exception. You'll find local specialties, gluten-free cuisine, even scrambled eggs made only from egg whites for a low-protein, low-calorie diet but also croissants and other treats. The selection is huge and there is certainly something for everyone.
You can have breakfast on the terrace, which is right next to one of the large pools. The pool area
in the Parklane is very large and spread out over various locations. There is not just one large pool, but several and you can choose your own spot depending on your preference.
Those who prefer the beach are sure to find a free lounger on the black sand here too, which brings us to the hotel's only weak point. Those who come to Cyprus for the turquoise blue sea and the wonderful golden sandy beaches will not find this in the Limassol area. The Parklane is no exception, the sand in front of the hotel is very fine but black and there are stones in the water, so bathing shoes are recommended. Although the water is crystal clear, the stones make it dark rather than turquoise.
If that doesn't bother you, the Parklane Resort and SPA is the perfect hotel for your vacation or business trip. The staff are courteous and friendly, the grounds are spacious and beautifully designed, activities are varied, there are several restaurants on site, beautiful spa facilities, fitness room and water sports and you have the beach and the sea right by the hotel.
